Whether you’re a rock climbing enthusiast, gym rat, yogi in the making, bowling pro or amateur, swimming pool lover, racquetball player, body competitor or none of the above, rest assured Aztec Recreation has something to suit everyone’s fitness interest. The Aztec Recreation Center is an 80,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility built by Associated Students of San Diego State University. We also love to take our exercises outdoors  through a combination of various Aztec Adventure trips and Intramural Sports Leagues.  Aztec Recreation is all about trying new things, testing your fitness limits, and experiencing it all.

To ensure an overall health experience we have incorporated free nutrition counseling and free fitness orientations. Our fitness interns will walk you through all that the membership has to offer along with  evaluating your personal needs. If you’re a person who likes a consistent routine or someone who likes to constantly switch up your workouts the options are limitless here at Aztec Recreation. Membership is available to everyone ages 18 and over and includes seven major facilities: ARC, ARC Express, Aquaplex, Tennis Courts, Racquetball, Climbing Wall, Outdoor Track, Mission Bay Aquatics (off campus), Aztec Adventures (off campus),  and Aztec Lanes in which members get access to.

To all those early risers and night time owls, the ARC is open 24 hours during the week to ensure you get your workout in- leaving you no excuse not to get your sweat on, regardless of how busy your day is. The ARC has an indoor climbing wall, 60 group exercise classes per week, drop-in basketball games in our 4 full-size gymnasiums, and maintains over 400 pieces of weight training and cardio equipment.
